Your guests will arrive to a beautifully Polynesian Decorated event with fresh tropical flower arrangements and colorful, yet tasteful, table centerpieces. During arrival of your guests and cocktail hour, our musicians will be playing Live Polynesian Music for atmosphere and ambiance. Songs selected are from Hawaii, Tahiti, New Zealand, Tonga and Samoa. Our dancers (men and women) are available to Greet Your Guests and even monitor your guest list and administer name tags if you should so desire. We can provide Fresh Leis (orchid or carnation), fresh fragrant hair or wrist gardenias, or beautiful Shell Leis for your guests. Our girls can also perform Spot Hulas right out among the tables and your guests while they are mingling and socializing before dinner.
If your event is outdoors, as the sun starts to set, we can perform a beautiful "Torch Lighting Ceremony" to the sound of conch shells and live drumming, while our dancers light "Tiki Torches" placed around the area. Right before dinner is served, we will perform our dynamic "Conch Blowing Ceremony" to call your guests to dinner.
These are memorable experiences and serve to initiate a festive luau mood and build anticipation for the full Polynesian show that comes after dinner.
For Pupu's (appetizers) and Dinner, we can arrange for, or refer you to caterers that can provide the perfect luau menu for your guests including, but not limited to Polynesian favorites such as Laulau (pork, fish or chicken and spinach wrapped in ti leaves and cooked), Sashimi (raw fish), Kalua pig, Chicken Long Rice (clear noodles), Lomi Lomi Salmon, Macaroni Salad, Kim Chee (Korean spicy pickled cabbage), Rice, Poi (Taro and Haupia (Hawaiian coconut pudding dessert) and our Guava Cake.
After dinner comes our Exciting Polynesian Floor Show. Our shows include the wide variety of Polynesian Island dances from Hawaii, Tahiti, Samoa, Tonga, Maori (New Zealand) and Fiji. Our costumes are authentically traditional, yet are extremely colorful. Performers may be women, men, children or all three depending on the nature of your event and what you desire. If your event is outdoors or in a Fire Marshall approved area, you might wish us to include one of our dangerously exciting "Fire Dances". Also included in our fun-filled,exciting, colorful show is a section where we have some of your Guests Participate. This is always a favorite part of our show. You might also want us to include a Group Hula Lesson at your event where we would teach your guests a hula and they would be able to perform it with us during our show. All participants will receive Shell Leis as a token of our appreciation for helping us with our show.
After our show, our Band is available to play More Polynesian Music to maintain the "tropical" mood and where Dancing is required, our Band can also perform popular contemporary music, songs from the 70's, 80's and 90's, and also a few "Big Band" songs for your guests to dance this more memorable night away.
We guarantee that you and your guests will never forget this beautiful Polynesian experience given by you with the help of MANUIA POLYNESIAN REVUE.
Manuia also offers an assortment of "Fire Dances" that include the ever popular Samoan Fire Knife, Maori (New Zealand) Fire Poi, Samoan Fire Walk (extremely rare and dangerous - seldom seen today, even in Hawaii or Samoa), and various torch lighting ceremonies and dances. Such fire dances may also be included in our Polynesian shows. Even a group fire dance (3 or more dancers) dance is available where allowed. Few other Polynesian dance companies have these fire dance capabilities.
